TRINITY PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN

MEMBERSHIP:
Membership in Presbyterian Women is open to all women.  Presbyterian Women members commit to participate in and support of Presbyterian Women through Circle membership.  Presbyterian Women determine its own leadership, program and budget.  Decisions are made by voting or consensus at gatherings that have representation from appropriate groups.

PURPOSE:
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:  To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study;  To support the mission of the church worldwide;  To work for justice and peace; and To build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witness to the promise of God’s kingdom.

Trinity Presbyterian Women have quarterly luncheon meetings in February, May, September, and December, hosted by the different circles.  (Dates and times listed on the website calendar).

CIRCLES:
Faith Circle meets the third Wednesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. at the church.
Miriam Circle meets the third Wednesday each month at 10:00 a.m. in member’s homes.
Rainbow Circle meets the second Tuesday of each month at 3:00 p.m. at the church.

There are no circle meetings in July, August or December.   Circles use HORIZONS for their bible study, published  by Presbyterian Women in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), Inc. with a new study each year.

SPECIAL OFFERINGS AND PROJECTS:
Trinity Presbyterian Women have three special offerings each year.  In May the offering is a Birthday offering which marks the anniversary of the PW and gives the offering for missions throughout the world such as children’s concerns, Native American churches, homeless shelters, and new churches. In December there is a Thank offering providing financial assistance for approved health ministries.  Monthly there is a collection for Fellowship of the Least Coin.  This is an ecumenical offering which Christian women throughout the world participate in by giving the least coin of their particular country.  The money is received without identification of its original source and used for women’s projects on every continent and for experiences which create a Christian community across national, racial and denominational lines.

In addition the local PW has a project each year, such as the blanket project, which provides seasonal blankets for national disaster victims.

Coordinating Team gatherings are the first Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Kepler  Conference Room except for July and August.

Check the committees’ page for the current moderator to contact.
