Warning: Cell Phone Texting Credit Card Scam

We’ve been informed of scammers using Text Messaging to ask Trinity church members for gift cards.

Trinity would NEVER ask you to provide a gift card number over the phone, by Text Message, or by E-mail. Emails or Text Messages asking for direct person-to-person contributions should always raise a RED FLAG.

It is possible that during a campaign for a charitable organization Trinity may request donations for gift cards. In those cases, however: (1) it would be an organized campaign that you would see in Newsletters, church Bulletins, and discussed during the Worship Service and (2) we would ask for you to deliver your donation to the church office.
