An Organ Concert

A MOTHER’S DAY TREAT
AN ORGAN CONCERT
SUNDAY, MAY 8, 2016
4:00 PM
TRINITY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH PRESENTS
HEASUK CHE
ORGANIST IN CONCERT

 . . . . Plan your Mother’s Day celebration with church, 8:15, 9:30 or 11:00.
At 4:00 pm, the congregation and the community of Palm Coast are invited to enjoy a special organ concert in the sanctuary by Trinity’s organist, Heasuk Che.
Her program will consist of selections from various organ music composers and styles. Pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, and some church hymns, are to be followed by a few modern classics that should be familiar to all.
. . . . Heasuk does her own arranging for some of the music she plays at a worship service. You can tell that when her name appears on the title line.
. . . . Heasuk learned to play the piano at an early age and majored in organ music at Chongshin University in Seoul, Korea graduating with a Master of Music degree – Church Music (Pipe Organ).
. . . . In addition to devoting the necessary time to her music responsibilities at Trinity she began preparing for this concert in early September, 2015.
Christmas music is her favorite but she also has favorite hymns such as Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing and Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!
When asked what it was like to come to America, she replied that she had always dreamed of coming to America. She learned some English by watching American television drama shows, particularly General Hospital. She has seen The Sound of Music over twenty times.
. . . . Heasuk has always used her talent for playing the organ to the Glory of God. She will share that gift in this concert setting.
. . . . She wants to show her appreciation to the Trinity congregation by sharing her music with them.
