Volunteer to be a Trinity Live Stream Team Member!

If you or someone you know likes learning about computer technology, this is your chance!

What do we do? We operate the video cameras during worship and other special services, manage the live stream broadcast, and run the sanctuary wall projectors. Everything is controlled via a Windows 10 PC. Good keyboard and mouse skills are a needed.

To operate the system, you may be able to get started after only an hour or so of training. If you’re very new to the equipment and apps, then maybe a bit longer. To run the whole show, you’ll need to learn our processes and procedures and that will take a larger time investment.

What equipment and apps do we use? Boxcast streaming services, OBS Studio, Elgato 4K Pro and Stream Deck, IOGear Wireless HD Matrix Pro, a 3-Display Lenovo Legion Desktop Windows 10 PC, three video cameras (2 fixed; 1 mobile), and three short-throw projectors. We also use slightly more mundane things like Microsoft Word/PowerPoint, GIMP, LibreOffice’s Impress, and VLC Media Player.

Sound interesting? Sound fun? Sound confusing … but willing to learn? We’re willing to train!

Ash Wednesday Reminder

Don’t forget about our TWO Ash Wednesday opportunities to mark the beginning of Lent. Our God shows us abundant love and gives us extravagant Grace. This Lent at Trinity we will explore what it means to be “Full to the Brim“.

On Wednesday, March 2nd Join us for two Ash Wednesday Faith Experiences:

From 3:30pm-5pm Join us in the Fellowship Hall to begin Lent with a creative art project. We will be turning old magazines into a blessing basket. No artistic or creative talent needed! Bring two magazines, a roll of invisible tape and an open mind. We will have fun and create at the same time!

From 5pm-6pm Our Ash Wednesday Drive Through will be open. Come any time between 5pm-6pm to receive an imposition of ashes, words of encouragement and receive a tasty take home meal of hearty red lentil vegetable soup, a mini loaf of bread and treats for dessert. Fill yourself so that you can fill others this Lenten season.

All are invited and welcome:

Even now, declares the Lord, return to me with all your heart.” –Joel 2:12

Roll up your sleeves. Let down your guard. Come in from the storm. Make yourself at home. Pull up to the table. Release the tension in your jaw. Take a deep breath. Return to God with all your heart.

2022 Souper Bowl of Caring!

In 1990, a simple prayer: “Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those who are without a bowl of soup to eat” was delivered to a small youth group at Spring Valley Presbyterian Church in Columbia, SC led by Brad Smith, who was serving as a seminary intern at the time.

This gave birth to an idea. Why not harness the energy and enthusiasm of Super Bowl weekend, a time when people come together for football, food and fun, to unite the nation for a higher good? Individuals and groups could collect dollars in soup pots and canned food for those in need and send every dollar and food donation DIRECTLY to a local charity of THEIR choice.

We at Trinity will be collecting non-perishable food donations and monetary donations to benefit The Care Cupboard Food Pantry at First United Methodist Church of Bunnell.

If you are able we ask that you bring at least one non-perishable food item and one dollar this Sunday, February 13th. If you are writing a check, make checks payable to Trinity Presbyterian Church with SouperBowl in the memo line.

We will have two drop off stations. One station for each team in the superbowl. Lets see which team has the most giving fans!

Bring your donations and lets tackle hunger together!
